WORKSHOP "TRAIN | INSPIRE | EXPLOIT - FORGING NEW ALLIANCES BETWEEN DESIGNERS IN INDUSTRY, MATERIAL INNOVATION PLAYERS"
17th September 2014, Design Terminal, Budapest (Hungary)

The next InnoMatNet workshop will take place in Budapest (Hungary), on September 17th at the Design Terminal (www.designterminal.hu/en). This workshop comes at the end of 2 years activity that enabled the InnoMatNet consortium to bring together stakeholders from both the research and design fields; together with them we have discussed strengths and weaknesses of their collaboration and we have presented success stories, best practices, and explored how to enhance and boost tools. It’s now time to take stock of InnoMatNet activities and results, and we want to do so together with practitioners, validating a set of recommendations on how to reduce the gap between the creative design of products that meet the needs of the market, and the research and development of new materials to be used in these products. During the workshop, InnoMatNet partners will announce the winners of the InnoMatNet competition.

Join us and have your say! Participation is free of charge!

WORKSHOP "FUTURE OF MATERIALS IN EUROPEAN DESIGN AND ARCHITECTURE"
25th September 2014, the Norwegian Centre for Design and Architecture, Oslo (Norway)

The last InnoMatNet event will take place in Oslo (Norway), on September 25th at DoGA, the Norwegian Centre for Design and Architecture.

This event will share and discuss architecture and design challenges on its value chain concerning innovative materials and processes. To achieve this goal, InnoMatNet will invite talented actors: designers, architects, researchers, engineers and innovators, to dialog with you in a dynamic process. All together, we will be challenged to map the problematics and ideal practices, and will discuss, share new feasible ideas, tracks that could bring a relevant material innovation into a meaningful scalable design. Attendance is free of charge but places are limited.

WHAT IS INNOMATNET?

InnoMatNet is a 30 month project launched in April 2012, funded under the NMP (Nanosciences, nanotechnologies, materials and new production technologies) theme of the European Union 7th Framework Programme.InnoMatNet aims to advance the goal of an innovation society by developing a flexible approach that establishes teams of innovators which link materials labs with industry (particularly the creative industry), as well as other innovation actors, providing support to help them bring new products and processes to market.
