Workshop “Train | Inspire | Exploit - Forging new alliances between designers in industry, material researchers and other innovation players”, September 17th, Design Terminal - Budapest (Hungary)

Wednesday, September 17, 2014

The workshop "Train  | Inspire | Exploit – Forging new alliances between designers in industry, material innovation players” took place in Budapest (Hungary), on September 17th at the Design Terminal (www.designterminal.hu/en). This workshop came at the end of 2 years activity that enabled the InnoMatNet consortium to bring together stakeholders from both the research and design fields; together with them we discussed strengths and weaknesses of their collaboration and we had presented success stories, best practices, and explored how to enhance and boost tools.

It was time to took stock of InnoMatNet activities and results, and we did so together with practitioners, who validated a set of recommendations on how to reduce the gap between the creative design of products that meet the needs of the market, and the research and development of new materials to be used in these products. During the workshop, InnoMatNet partners also announced the winners of the InnoMatNet competition.
